Personally, I don't think that they are in the same category of rap. Charles Hamilton does not make club music, but who's to say that he can't? Soulja Boy does thing. Its hard for anybody to go to any party and not hear 'She Got A Donk', 'ShootOut', or 'Marco Polo'! With that being said who out there believes that any of the 3 songs, that were just mentioned are timeless music?(Plz Comment.) I mean if one is having a bad day, are you gonna pop in your Soulja Boy album, to brighten up ur day, cuz you can so relate to, how big her ass is, or you wanna reminisce on your days as a child playing marco polo in the pool..Time will tell..I feel that Charles Hamilton is dope and will ultimately make better music than Soulja Boy. Soulja Boy does have more guap, but when did guap become the litmus test for how good an emcee is? It may be for some people, but definitely not to me. I don't understand why people feel the need to address bullshit such as this. Also, this is crunch time in the election, and the other side was waitin on a slip up of some sort which isn't gonna happen, so they pounce on the opportunity to criticize a man, who flies on his campaign plane to Hawaii to see his ailing 'mother', saying some bs about how u gonna talk about the energy crisis but 'waste' all that fuel and campaign money "to visit grandma". What a fuckin prick! This asshole named Brad Blakeman is worried about the wrong damn thing. It's quite sad to see someone's party get so desparate in a campaign that they have to attempt to distract voters with nonsensical bullshit regarding people Obama may know or may not know, who endorsed him , who donated money(which doesn't concern them to begin with)or just gettin away from the issues all together and make false accusations to take the focus off of how your losing severely n the polls. However if Barack Obama was down in the polls and used similar tactics of the McCain-Palin ticket his boat would have sank faster than the titanic months ago! Sorry I'm just venting. Originally, I was conflicted about doin a spotlight on Korleon, simply cuz he's family and I don't wanna come off as biased, however if he sucked the decision would be that much easier..He's been rappin since '01-'02, I've been there since day one, listenin to his music, I've watched him improve as an artist. He's the CEO of Richboy Entertainment, which features other artists like Yung Tito & Gutta Twin. Korleon has release a series of mixtapes all over the Southern states, such as "Bigger Business", "Get Rich & Die Later", "La Cosa Nostra", & "The Heffner Project". He's had a few songs on the radio over the last few years, most recently "Keepin It Pimpin" & "Got Guap". His latest release "King Period", is what inspired me to do the profile on him. This is his best work to date. As a whole, this project is one of my favorites. Anytime I hear somethin jammin that nobody has heard yet, I have to put the word out. His new single is right below. After a jet that they were on crashed in Columbia, South Carolina, Travis Barker and Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein were in listed critical condition with extensive burns Saturday. Four people were killed(2 Pilots, Travis' Assistant & Bodyguard). They crashed shortly after take off and there were extensive fires. They were on a twin-engine jet, that had been cleared for a flight to California. They had just performed at a free T-Mobile-sponsored show in the Five Points area. Travis has burns from the waist down, and DJ AM has burns to his face. Keep em in your prayers.

This guy Trey P., I've known dude since like elementary skool..I remember we was in like 7th or 8th grade and he would be freestyling in the back of Mr Teske's class. Little did I know dude would continue with the rapping and do everything that he's done up to this point. Homey done rocked a mohawk, then switched to the New Jack City Nino Brown stair-stepper hair cut and though that may sound corny to you, he actually is swagged out enough pulled it off. This dude has done his own Crank Dat Remix, last summer he had a fresh joint called Swag On Another Level, he got a hot ass remix to A Milli(and supporting video, see below)and he even wrote a birthday rap thanking everybody and it was dope. He's down with F.I.N.E. Ent. (Focused Intelligent Negroes Excelling). They really holding it down, they put out these crazy ass F.I.N.E. shorts that are hilarious. So Webbie is facing felony eluding, misdemeanor DUI and possession of marijuana, he was released on $25,000 bond.

So I Watched 'Bobby' This Morning..

I watched 'Bobby', a movie about Robert F. Kennedy's run for president in 1968. While watching this I realized how little I actually knew about RFK. I mean everybody knows who his brother is(JFK), but how many of us know anything about Robert, besides the fact that he was Attorney General, and some folks don't even know that. So googled him, just cuz I like to stay knowledgeable about a variety of topics. Well RFK did alot of positive things on our behalf(black folks)as far as civil rights goes, although he may have Ok'd some dumb shit (like wiretapping MLK Jr for suspected communism, yeah real dumb) I read about a trip he made to South Africa to speak out against Apartheid(look it up) He was quoted in a magazine and he said something that I felt was quite profound and progressive for a white American man of affluence to think/say aloud..

"At the University of Natal in Durban, I was told the church to which most of the white population belongs teaches apartheid as a moral necessity. A questioner declared that few churches allow black Africans to pray with the white because the Bible says that is the way it should be, because God created Negroes to serve. 'But suppose God is black', I replied. 'What if we go to Heaven and we, all our lives, have treated the Negro as an inferior, and God is there, and we look up and He is not white? What then is our response?' There was no answer. Only silence."

I don't know how you feel about that statement but its pretty damn deep to me..Sure you or I have probably thought that, but a white guy in 1966 said this publically. Quite profound in my opinion. My point is Bobby Kennedy doesn't get enough credit for the things he has done to bring about equal rights for all citizens of this country. He is often dwarfed by the legend and the shadow of his older brother JFK, but RFK was a giant of a different kind.

I was watchin Lil Wayne's performance at the VMAs last night and he rapped a "new" verse over the Misunderstood beat. I was thinkin to myself 'wow that sounds familiar, maybe its off of one of his mixtapes or somethin'. Ok I'm just as big a Wayne fan as anybody(thats not a hater) but he recited a whole verse from Drake! I'm a Drake fan too and I listened to one of his older tracks and heard that verse.
