Beef!?

Ok, so my girl AppleJax brought it to my attention that I haven't been up to date with the latest hip-hop beefs. Well honestly, it's because they're quite corny. I mean Bow Wow & Soulja Boy, Rick Ross & 50 Cent.. Come on.. be real... These have been the funniest beefs ever to hit hip-hop..More funny than anything.. I mean straight up good music usually springs from rap beefs(Hit 'Em Up, The Takeover, Ether). What have we recieved? The BW vs SB situation, all I got out of it was laughs..Bow Wow really talks like a big dog in the game, I guess he doesn't realize that he's not a respected lyricist yet, though I'll admit he's improved, he's still a punchline("I'll never let a bitch Lil Bow Wow me!"). And off top, Rick Ross is foolish as hell for goin against 50 Cent..Fif is a beast and he's rich enough to do what he wants, without a fear of a backlash. I'll give it to Ross, he's made better music than 50 in this situation, but in tryin to gain exposure, his ass got exposed. Ed Lover asked 50, did he ever think that Ross was just using him for promotion? Fif responded,"Nah, I thought I would over promote his ass!" They commenced to reading off Ross' finacial statements. Claiming that 'the biggest boss that we've seen thus far" is $4,000 behind on his bills a month. That he's worth a little over $1 million dollars. Wow..I told ya'll 50 is a beast. However, I got the most entertainment out of the Soulja Boy situation..Though I'm not a huge fan of either one's music, I personally think Soulja Boy and 50 Cent are hilarious and they clearly have the advantage in their individual situations.

Why Is Soulja Boy Goin @ Charles Hamilton?

Personally, I don't think that they are in the same category of rap. Charles Hamilton does not make club music, but who's to say that he can't? Soulja Boy does thing. Its hard for anybody to go to any party and not hear 'She Got A Donk', 'ShootOut', or 'Marco Polo'! With that being said who out there believes that any of the 3 songs, that were just mentioned are timeless music?(Plz Comment.) I mean if one is having a bad day, are you gonna pop in your Soulja Boy album, to brighten up ur day, cuz you can so relate to, how big her ass is, or you wanna reminisce on your days as a child playing marco polo in the pool..Time will tell..I feel that Charles Hamilton is dope and will ultimately make better music than Soulja Boy. Soulja Boy does have more guap, but when did guap become the litmus test for how good an emcee is? It may be for some people, but definitely not to me. I don't understand why people feel the need to address bullshit such as this. I mean EVERYBODY that brings up Soulja Boy's name, isn't always speakin on him in a positive light(Ice T, The Game, LeBron James, etc). Get over it nigga! U ain't Diddy, Jigga, The Game, Kanye or no shit like that, to where its like you're above somebody speakin on you when they're asked a question about comparison. If somebody compared you to somebody that you feel sucks, I'm sure you'd be offended too.. Get your money now, my dude, while the iron is hot. I don't see longevity for you my friend. I don't feel like I'm hating cuz this is simply my opinion and opinions are like assholes. Everybody's got one.
